Inventor Project Environment
This year, the Cybersonics Inventor group had four designers collaborating on the robot design. We set up a shared mode project referencing workgroup directories on a network server which allowed multiple users to access all files. Since various parts of the robot were being designed concurrently, being able to use parts and subassemblies without checking them out let us use "work-in-progress" parts within other assemblies to speed up our designs.

Drawing And Part Numbering
Parts designed by Cybersonics are assigned unique part numbers in the format below:
Format: Year-System acronym-Number, if it is an assembly then an "A" is placed before the number.
Example: 2007-DRS-A01 (This is the Chassis and Drive Assembly)

System
Chassis/Drive
Gripper
Tower
Control
Acronym
DRS
GPS
TRS
CTS
