To better embody the vision of FIRST and to return experience and aid to the community, we have started programs to help other teams, members, and alumni.
BeyondFIRST is a program that provides connections between potential employees interns and employers. Any FIRST participant need only to create an account at our website.
RuralSupport provides a helping hand to teams just starting out in an isolated area by sharing common problems of operating in a rural area, such as distance from potential sponsors and a lack of community awareness, and their solutions.
The numbers of teams aided have grown from purely rural teams to suburban and urban teams that may encounter problems we have overcome in the past, such as 3D modeling, metalworking, fundraising and design, currently numbering over one hundred.
